Moving iTop under a different URL
Under some circumstances, it may be helpful to change iTop URL. Changing its directory, changing the server name or IP, creating an alias are all cases where this will be needed.
After the change, set the field app_root_url in the
Configuration
file, otherwise the application will stop working.

This field must contain the root URL used for navigating within the application.

This value is also used to create the web links proposed within iTop generated emails.

You can put $SERVER_NAME$ as a placeholder for the server's name.
iTop can be accessed through
a single URL.
Workaround to
this limitation have drawbacks during iTop upgrade and Setup
changes, as special settings are overwritten and must be manually
restored each time
